A vital part of the careers of the young performers has been their presentations at the New York and Los Angeles Showcases. For decades this event has been attended by the country’s most notable talent agents, casting directors, personal managers and directors, who have been integral in establishing emerging careers.
Carnegie Mellon actors such as Ted Danson, Cherry Jones, Ming Na, Laura San Giacomo, Patrick Wilson, Holly Hunter, Rene Auberjonois, James Cromwell, Charlie Haid, Jack Klugman, Judith Light, Blair Underwood and many others had seminal professional guidance through the industry contacts made at the showcases on either coast.
